    PharmaReg and MedDevReg AfriSummit Host 80+ Regional and International Speakers Alongside Over 400 Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Professionals

    Newszy: Cairo, Egypt, 06 November 2025 – Under the esteemed patronage of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), AfriSummit 2025 convened leading healthcare regulators and industry experts for four impactful days of dialogue and training aimed at strengthening pharmaceutical and medical device regulation across Africa. Hosted at the Hilton Grand Nile Tower Hotel, the hybrid summit welcomed over 400 participants and spotlighted more than 80 distinguished speakers representing regulatory bodies, manufacturers, and distributors.

    During the opening ceremony of AfriSummit, H.E. Dr. Ali Ghamrawy, Chairman of the Egyptian Drug Authority (EDA), emphasized in his speech: “Let me say it once more, loud and clear: Regulatory reliance is not a sign of weakness; it is a mark of wisdom. It is the recognition that we can move faster, smarter, when we build upon one another’s strengths.”

    AfriSummit 2025 highlighted innovative approaches to drug trials and approvals, enriched by a hands-on workshop eCTD Training. Dr. Mona Al Moussli, Chairman of AfriSummit, stated, “AfriSummit this year stood out as an exceptional gathering, bringing together influential industry leaders. Their contributions highlighted the pressing importance of aligning regulatory frameworks across Africa, setting the stage for a more unified and sustainable healthcare ecosystem.”

    Distinguished leaders shared valuable regulatory perspectives, reaffirming the summit’s pivotal role in strengthening compliance and advancing healthcare standards. AfriSummit 2025 was further honoured by the presence of ambassadors, ministers, and diplomats representing nations from across Africa.

    Dr. Najiba Al Shezawy, Co-Chairman of AfriSummit, expressed her gratitude for the participation of various African authorities this year, stating, “We sincerely value the active participation of African National Regulatory Authorities, whose expertise and commitment play a vital role in reinforcing regulatory systems and promoting collaboration throughout the continent.”

    Participants took part in dynamic roundtable discussions alongside key healthcare authorities, creating a collaborative space to tackle regulatory challenges and explore emerging opportunities within the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.

    The Summit once again demonstrated its role as the premier annual forum for regulatory affairs in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and healthcare across Africa; industries witnessing rapid growth.

    As AfriSummit 2025 concluded for its 5th edition, the summit delivered a strong message of unity and commitment to elevating healthcare standards across the continent.
